You can choose how your gate operates depending on your budget and how often it is opened during the day. A manual gate is simple and costs less. A motorized gate opens with a remote or mobile, which is a real comfort in rain or late at night. Cantilever gates are a third option — they slide without a track on the ground, so there is nothing across the entrance to collect dirt or get damaged.
A sliding gate carries all its weight on its track and rollers, so this part has to be right. We use a heavy-duty track and imported rollers so the gate moves easily and does not jam with regular use. The track foundation is set in concrete, which keeps the line of the gate straight and steady. If this base work is weak, even a good gate will start giving trouble, so we do not cut corners on it.
If your road is narrow, your plot front is short, or parking is tight inside the gate, a sliding gate is usually the better choice over a swing gate. You will need enough boundary wall on one side for the gate to slide along.
